Fun Day

I really really love the Pier collection by Crate Paper, I bought and re bought a bunch of it, especially those frames (sigh).

I filled in the frames with paper and then added some fun embellishments like this wooden heart wrapped in Washi Tape.

More Wash Tape on this one.

Some very cute chipboard.

I also used my Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Round 14 and the coordinating Bubble Caps to make the Fun Day title.

I think I need to go order more of this collection :)

Kids Crafts - Portable Art Kit

My youngest son is forever making up games, creating characters and making cards for them, his creativity is amazing.

He always wants to take some pencils and paper when we go out in the car so he can make some cards or draw something so I made him a portable art kit.

These are super easy to make and in fact he helped me make them.  First glue 2 pieces of 12x12 paper together to make it stronger then score at 4” to fold up and make the pockets.

I decided to make the pockets large enough to hold index cards so scored and folded them to that size and made sure I had enough of a flap left to add a large Brad Daddie and twine to keep the folder closed.  After I made his we made a few more for his friends.
It didn't take him long to open it up and start drawing!

I love seeing all his little creations - so awesome :)

Epiphany Crafts and Punky Sprouts

This week Epiphany Crafts teamed up with Punky Sprouts, I was so excited to get the Punky Sprouts Teenie-Beanie mini album and the Lil' Blossoms Lacy Paper and Parchment paper to play with.

Making Mini Albums is one of my favorite things to create and I decided to make an Instagram Mini.  These are some of my favorite Instagram photos for the month.

I used the Crate Paper Pier collection, some gold Thickers and some gold mini letter from Dear Lizzy, I am loving the gold trend right now.  For the cover I used the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Heart 14 to add a coordinating heart to my title.

I layered the Punky Sprouts Lacy Paper and Parchment paper under my title on the cover and also used it on the inside under another photo.  They are so pretty.

The first few pages are just about my favorite things.  Costco Hot Dogs and Coke.  I couldn't imagine a world without them.

I love how easy it is to add one of the Epiphany Crafts Bubble Caps to embellishments to make them even prettier - here I added them to the geotag sticker.

My son had a Math Celebration competition and got 2 golds and 2 silvers he did great!

For this page I used the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Star 25 to create a background then added a Bubble Cap to one of the stars for the perfect embellishment.

This month my oldest got a pretty bad eye infection.  He went to see a specialist and ended up on pretty strong drops to clear it up.

My darling kitty loves hanging out wherever we are.

So lucky to live where I do - a few steps from this beautiful sight.

My oldest turned 14 this month.  Where did the time go?

To make the heart I used the wood grain paper and washed it with the Hero Arts Ink Daubers (love them) then added some letter stickers and used the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Heart 25 to create a unique one of a kind embellishment.  I also love that this mini album came with chipboard and cardboard as well as canvas pages which I loved.

My youngest loves Magic - we let him stay up until midnight to get the new collection packs for a special treat.  He was so tired LOL.

My oldest son loves to go out to eat so we took him to White Spot for his birthday.

I cut some canvas around the shape of the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Heart 14 Bubble Caps for this page, I also used some washi tape under the middle one.

Last but not least my son had his BFF for a sleepover - these two are such awesome friends I hope they can find a way to always be friends.

For the embellishments on this page I used the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Hexagon 25.

Well another month done - I am not so far behind on my monthly mini's now.

Wedding Flowers/Gift Boxes

The new Black Ice Collection from Imaginisce is perfect for weddings.  I made these cute black and white 3D flowers and little gift boxes for a friends wedding.

To create the flowers I used my Silhouette to cut out the flowers and folded up the edges for extra dimension.

For the centre I used the I-top and the large Brad Daddies.

For the gift boxes I cut out the box and bow with my Silhouette.

I added some Imaginisce flowers and bling to the centre of the bow.

Happy Life

Here's another one of my monthly mini's - I have so much fun making these.  This month I used a lot of the Amy Tangerine Yes Please collection and her fun embroidery kit for the title.

To keep this months' mini simple I just used paper to create the whole thing.  The cover is one of the 12x12 sheets cut and folded to create a 6x6 cover.

We attended an 80's party, I dressed up with my friends as one of the Bananarama girls and Mike was Corey Hart.

We were so happy to make it back to Disneyland this year, this was one of my favorites of the boys.

My son had Life Skills Cooking and had some homework to do - he made pizza and cinnamon buns, not a bad homework assignment - yum!

My son excited to get an excellent report card, Mom and Dad were pretty happy too.

My baby girl Buttons, being bad as usual.

I am so loving doing these minis and the kids love flipping through them and remembering what a great year it's been so far.

White Rock Pier

One of my favorite places to hang out is the White Rock Pier, they have a ton of little shops and restaurants and the kids love the pier.

How perfect was it that Crate Paper put out a collection called the Pier.

I used the washi tape and tear off strips to make the border strips along the bottom, then added two photos using the chipboard frames.

I also added some Heidi Swapp Color Shine Gold Lame and the awesome acrylic letter for the title.

What's your favorite place to hang out?

Games

We are so lucky to have Dave's Pop Culture just a short walk from our house.

The boys love to walk there and hangout with friends playing games. Rhys' new favorite game is Wings of Glory.

It's so cool how they set up the game to play and even have models to play with.  It's every boy's dream.

I made this layout with my Scrapbook Nerd August kit which features the Echo Park Happy Go Lucky collection.

Back to School

It's back to school week on the Imaginisce blog this week.

I can’t believe summer will be over soon and the kids will be back at school. I made this clipboard with magnets for my son’s teacher.
I covered the clipboard with patterned paper from the Childhood Memories collection, and then I added a school themed notepad to it.

I created some magnets using some punches and the I-Top tool along with the medium Magnet Daddies. Hopefully the message on the notepad will help make this school year the best ever!

I guess I need to start doing some back to school shopping.

Fun with Gesso

I have seen so many videos using Gesso and it looked like so much fun I decided to buy some and give it a try.

I cut the star template from cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo and while the Gesso was still wet sprayed it with some Heidi Swapp Color Shine.

I love the way it turned out and it was fun to play with, I can see myself doing this  more in the future!

Friends

“A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you.”
Elbert Hubbard

What better way to show your friends you love them than make them something from your heart. I made this wall hanging for a friends birthday, she is an amzing friend and I am so lucky to have her in my life!

I used the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Pennant 25 to create the fun banners on either side of the banner.

I also used the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Heart 25 and Heart 14 to add some fun embellishments.

Imaginisce and Core'dination Cardstock Blog Hop

I was so excited to get to work with Core’dinations Cardstock this month, I love it.  I have wanted to scrapbook these photos of the deer that visit the cabin every year and I knew the Outdoor Collection by Imaginisce would be the perfect line for them.

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the cardstock and added strips of it along the bottom of the layout.  Then for a border for the photos I created some fun leaves from the cardstock.

To create them cut different size squares from the Core’dinations Cardstock, fold in half then cut out a leaf shape.

The fun part about Core’dinations Cardstock is when you sand it you get a different color that comes through. Once I cut out the leaf shape I sanded the centre line where it was folded and the edges.

I added the title and used the Imaginisce paper with the chevron type design to add arrows to draw your eye to the photos.

I had so much fun this week and there are so many amazing projects to hop to.

Next up on the hop is Marcia Dehn-Nix http://onescrapatatime-bymumsie.blogspot.ca/ .

Here's today's line up and if you get lost make sure you head to the Imaginisce and Core’dinations blogs to get the full blog hop list.
