Project Life High Speed

I had a few months to catch up on for Project Life so I kept it super duper simple and used the 2x2" page protectors from Simple Stories to "get er dun".

I love how fast this size makes it but I do kind of miss the 3x4" size - just wish I had more time to spend on it.

So I am now caught up to the end of October and only have one more month left to do as I won't be doing the Project Life stuff at the same time as my December Daily.  I am glad I took on trying this for 2014 as I really wanted to take the time to tell the story this year.  I know you can't see it but I journalled on the back of every photo with as much detail as I could remember lol.

December Daily 2014

It's the most wonderful time of the year!  Time for December Daily to start.  It's one of my favorite scrappy times of the year.  I love making this mini album.

This year I am using the same size album as last year - it's a Simple Stories 6x8 album that I altered.

I painted the fabric as it really didn't match the papers I wanted to use. I am using the Crate Paper Bundled Up collection from last year.  Even though it's older I really love it and found some at Scrapbook Nerd so just decided to use it again.

I love the little Santa chipboard, he is so cute (and probably the whole reason I ordered this collection again lol).  I added a gold doily and layered some of the patterned papers.

I have organized all my supplies and I am ready to get started - what's up for December 1st?  Hopefully a visit from our Elf Nick.  Can't wait to see what mischief he gets up to this year.

Christmas Gift Bag

I can't believe all the amazing projects over at Scrapbook Nerd's December Countdown - hope you managed to stop by and check them out.  Here is my second project - a gift bag.

If you have been visiting my blog then you know I love to fussy cut paper.  I loved the flower paper in the Simple Stories DIY Christmas collection and knew I would have to fussy cut it.

I covered the bag with patterned paper and then added some layered fussy cut flowers and the 25 was cut from the countdown paper.

To add some shine I used the Wink a Stella glitter pen - it's awesome.

Nuts About Family

I love the look of the corrugated cardstock and used it as the base of this layout about my little family.

I layered some patterned papers, journaling cards and tags and added some fun die cuts from the Simple Stories Sweater Weather collection I got from Scrapbook Nerd.

I really am nuts about them :)

Burlap Bag Place Settings

I made these for our Thanksgiving table - I am doing a more rustic theme this year.

I used some Prima wood circles and painted on an acorn and added some glitter.

Then I used the Epiphany Crafts Oval 25 and metal charms to personalize them.

I also filled a mason jar with pine cones for the centrepiece.

Washi Tape Candle Holder Tutorial

Today I am popping in with a quick washi tape candle holder tutorial.  To start you will need some plain glass candle holders and tea light candles.

Grab your favorite washi tape and cover the bottom half of the candle holders.

Add a few fun embellishments.

I used the Simple Stories Sweater Weather collection for these candles.  The little woodland critters are so cute.

Voila a quick and easy gift.  Perfect for this Christmas!

Christmas Countdown

I do a Christmas Countdown every year - I have them all over the house, on my desk at work and make them for friends as well.  This year I made one using the Kaisercraft Christmas Countdown Tree and the Bundled Up collection from Crate Paper.

I covered the wooden tree with the green chevron paper.

I used the reverse side of the paper which is gold to cover the stand part of the tree.

Then I added the super cute brads all over the tree.

I covered the wooden number pieces with several layers of patterned paper and some fun gold numbers.

To top off the tree I used the rosette from the standout stickers.

To store the rest of the numbers I created a little pocket on the back of the tree with a leftover piece of patterned paper.

I really love this countdown it's so cute and I can't wait to use it.  Today is the first day of Scrapbook Nerd's 12 days of Christmas which will be filled with fun Christmas ideas like this Christmas Countdown.  Hope to see you there.

Fall Candle

I found these candle holders really cheap at Michaels they were 80% off so I grabbed a few and added some fun wood leaves and paper to dress them up.

I used one of the journaling cards from the Simple Stories Sweater Weather collection and added an enamel dot to the flower.

Then I wrapped some twine around the candle and added the Lawn Fawn wood leaves for decorations.

I love making fun home decor like this for my house.
