Happy Halloween

Hope you get all the Tricks and Treats you want today.  My son was asked to perform with his Triple Threat group at the Haunted House this year, they were awesome.  It was a Harry Potter theme and they sang Double Trouble.  Here are just a few photos from the event.

As you enter this is the sign for the Haunted House.

Linden and the rest of the Triple Threat group singing.

 Wraiths in the graveyard.

Mixing up some potions.

It was very well done and I was so proud of Linden, he had to stand and sing the same song over and over for two hours.  He had so much fun he didn't care.

Looks Like Fall

This week is "Oval" tool week over at the Epiphany Crafts blog.  My project will be up on Friday.

As I was playing around with the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Tool Oval 25 I ended up with strips of paper with the negative image of the ovals.  I decided to get crafty and somehow incorporate them into my layout.

I ended up using them as accents and filling in the negative shapes with different patterned paper from the Lily Bee Autumn Spice Collection.

I really love these index cards from the Lily Bee collection!  They are perfect for cards and layouts and well pretty much any paper project.

I hope you will stop by the Epiphany Crafts blog this week to see what the rest of the design team has done using ovals.

Witchy Woman

I got a new witches hat for Halloween last yer, of course I didn't get any good photos of me in my costume I always seem to forget.  I did take two but they are really dark and not very clear.  I decided to use them and make a layout anyway :)

I used the new Witch Hazel collection from October Afternoon and also added the spider paper from Pebbles and some older papers from Dream Street and Pink Paislee.

The letter stickers are Thickers from American Crafts.

Hopefully this year I will get some better photos to scrap.  Thanks for stopping by.

You'll find us chasing the sun!

This week is the Sweet Stamp Shop week on the Epiphany Crafts blog and I am up today with my project.  I wanted to make a mini album for our trip to the cabin this summer. I knew I wanted to use the title "You'll Find us Chasing the Sun" from the song by The Wanted so I used that as the inspiration for the starting point for this album. Here's a sneak peek of my project using the Epiphany Crafts Metal Charms Round 25.

I also used the Dream Ocean stamp set from Sweet Stamp Shop and the Shoreline paper collection by American Crafts.  To see the rest of the mini album and get more details head on over to the Epiphany Crafts blog.

Halloween Frame

I have had this Halloween frame from Old Navy for a few years and every Halloween I would forget to use it - this year I finally decided it was time to decorate it a bit and use it.

It had space for three photos but I only used the bottom two for photos and used the top space to add some patterned paper and a title.  The spider web paper is from the Pebbles Tricks and Treats collection.

I added the flying witch to the top and some pumpkins along the bottom for decoration.  They are from the new October Afternoon Witch Hazel collection.

I am so glad I finally got to use this frame!  Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Stamp Shop Week on the Epiphany Crafts blog

This week is the Sweet Stamp Shop Week on the Epiphany Crafts blog.  My main project will be up on the blog Friday but I wanted to show some other projects I made using their fun stamps.

I ended up using their Sweet Tooth stamp set to make two cute cards.  For the first card I used the candy shaped stamp and stamped it onto Echo Park patterned paper.

I added an Epiphany Craft Shape Studio Accessories Bubble Cap Round 25 on the centre of the candy and some cellophane to the ends to really make it look like a candy.

To finish it off I added some twine to the candy and to the journaling card to make the "sweet as candy" sentiment stand out.

For the second card I stamped the gumball machine stamp onto a journaling card and onto red paper.  I cut out the top and bottom of the gumball machine from the red and adhered it to the image stamped on the journaling card.

To fill the bubblegum machine I punched circles from the same patterned paper and glued them in place.  I cut out one of the Polaroid shapes from the Echo Park paper and stamped the "To the sweetest friend" sentiment.  I used foam tape to pop it up.

These stamps are so cute and I had so much fun using them.  Head on over to the Epiphany Crafts blog this week to see how the rest of the design team used their stamps.

Halloween Party Trio

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year, I always did like getting a little spooked and scared.  We always have a Halloween party for the kids and this year I decided to make some cute things for the party.

On the right is table place setting and will have the kids names on the back.  In the middle is the goody bag and on the right is some bat straws.

For the goody bags I used a translucent bag and filled it with curled up papers and added some cute costumed kids to the bottom.

For the place setting I covered a clothes pin with patterned paper and added a journaling card to the top.  I also cut out a crow and added him for fun.

The straws were super easy to make, I cut out some cute bats from patterned paper and glued them to the paper straws.

These were so fun to make.  I can't wait for this party to get started!

Boo!

Just stopping in to say a quick Boo to you!

To make this wall hanging I covered an old Making Memories chipboard word with subtle black paper and cut out some ghosts to add to it.

You can never have too many Halloween decorations!

It's not really poison...

I made this poison box for a friend who is really into Halloween.  I am going to fill it with really scary treats.

I painted a small gable box black and covered the sides with patterned paper.

For the top I attached a couple of tags with twine and tulle.

Hope you have a scary day, thanks for stopping by.

Any monster's in your house?

I have two really big ones.  I always use my monster spray to scare them away.

To make it I took an old silly string can and wrapped it in paper, cut out a few monsters and voila monster spray.

Hope you can get rid of the monsters in your house.

Some really big pumpkins!

With fall in the air I decided to try and get caught up on my fall pictures from last year.  I had some great paper from Crate but not enough to do a 12 x 12 so I thought I would do and 8.5 x 11 layout.  I haven't done one in a while.

I added a chipboard frame around my really big pumpkin in the wheelbarrow and wrapped twine around the whole layout.

I also made a pinwheel accent from the left over bits and pieces.

It's such a nice feeling getting caught up on pictures that I really want to scrap.

Horse Happiness

I have a friend who loves horses and when I saw this hilarious picture in my Smash book I knew I had to give it to her.

I ripped it out of the Smash book and glued it to the front of a notebook.  I added some ribbon to the edge and some twine.  I know she will smile every time she uses it.
