Laugh

My boys are so grown up now so I love hanging out with the beautiful Graziella (and her mom Maria).  I was so happy to get these pictures of her first giggle fit.  It had Maria and I in tears we were laughing so hard.

For this layout I used the My Little Shoebox collection.  I love their round die cut papers and they always have paper perfect to cut out.  To see how I added some dimension to the flowers you can see the video I posted here.

Of course I added some buttons to finish off this layout - it just wouldn't be the same without them :).

Instagram Love

I have fallen in love with the Instagram App on my IPhone. It makes every photo I take look amazing, I love the ease of sharing photos on Facebook and Twitter and well just everything about it.

I had some of my Instagram photos developed and I was so excited to see if they looked as good as they do on my phone. To my delight they turned out beautiful. I decided to create a little mini album for all the photos that would probably not end up on a layout using the Zutter Cover-Alls and the new Dear Lizzy collection called Neopolitan.

To start I completely covered the mini album with paper inside and out. Along the bottom of the cover I used the Dear Lizzy ruffle paper which I love. Then I added a chipboard accent that looks like a polaroid photo and one of my Instagram photos of our cat Buttons, some twine and a button finished it off.

For this mini I used some pocket pages and some plain pages on the inside. For the pocket pages I added tags so that I could add another photo, memorabilia or maybe some journaling.

The smaller size Cover-Alls and the Instagram photos make a perfect pair. This mini is a perfect size for me to throw into my purse or to make as a gift for a friend.

To see more photos of this mini album you can view it here.

Be Mine

This year I wanted to make a layout that would hold all of Linden's Valentine's from his classmates.  I knew I wanted to add an envelope to the layout so I used that as my starting off point.  I ended up using a vellum style envelope so you can see the Valentine's inside.

I also loved the Instagram photos I took of Linden writing and making Valentine's for his friends and classmates so I added those to the layout too.  The Crate Paper Hearts Collection was perfect for the colors I wanted to use for this layout.

I finished off the layout with all kinds of hearts scattered over the page.  Some are chipboard hearts covered with Washi Tape and paper, others are origami hearts and some are punched hearts.

I know it will be fun looking back at the Valentine's he received when he is older!

Beach chairs

One of my favorite places to visit is Savary Island, every year we are very lucky to go with our friends and have a week of relaxation.  The kids love going to the beach and building sandcastles.  They also love to build lots of other things from sand including a crab castle, tables and chairs.

Sophia and Linden made these sand chairs to make sitting on the beach more comfortable,  I love the imagination these two have when they are together :)

I used the Tim Holtz Coredination cardstock for the circles and used sand paper on the edges to distress them.  I love the kraft color showing through the dark grey.

I can't wait to go again this year.  Thanks for stopping by.

Baby cards :)

A few people in our family are expecting, I was so excited to be able to make some baby cards.  I cut out a heart from Kraft cardstock and filled it with punched hearts (I saw this idea on Pinterest).

I really love buttons, I find they add the finishing touch to almost everything I do.

I am so excited to welcome some new family members in the next few months!

A Bouquet of Flowers and a Video

with Mother's Day coming up I wanted to make a card for my Mom.  I decided to make a card with flowers covering the entire front - like a bouquet of flowers :)

I cut out the flowers from My Little Shoebox paper (you can watch the video to see how I added some dimension to the flowers).  Then I place them all over the front of the card and filled in the spaces with some buttons.

Then to finish it off I added the sentiment using letter stickers and a label sticker.  I hope she loved it as much as I loved making it.

Summer Memories

One of the things I love most about scrapbooking is getting to relive some amazing moments when I look through my photos and scrapbook them.

I found this photo of my son and his best friend on an old swing in front of the cabin, they would sit there for hours and just talk and swing and swing and talk.  I would love to know what they talked about.  Everytime I look at this photo it makes me smile.

It's moments like these that I am so thankful I am a scrapbooker!

Framed

I made a frame over Christmas using my Bind-It-All Cover-Alls and it was such an easy and fast gift to make I decided to make a few more to send to family for birthdays and just because.

They are really easy to make.  First cover the entire Cover-All with patterned paper, for these I used the Crate Paper Farmhouse Collection.

Add photos on the inside of the Cover-All.

Add some embellishments to the front of the Cover-All.

Really easy and really fun to make.
