One Little Word 2011

Ali Edwards started a tradition of picking one word every year as a way to celebrate new beginnings and something to focus on over the course of the year.

You can read her post about it here http://aliedwards.com/2010/12/introducing-a-new-class-at-big-picture-classes-one-little-word.html

This year I had a hard time picking a word - 2010 was a rough year for me and I am glad it is coming to an end. I really want to make 2011 a better year for me, for my kids, for my friends, for everyone, so I thought long and hard and my word for 2011 is LIVE!

Here is the definition of LIVE from the Merriam-Webster dictionaty.

1: to be alive : have the life of an animal or plant
2: to continue alive
3: to maintain oneself : SUBSIST
4: to occupy a home : DWELL
5: to attain eternal life
6: to conduct or pass one's life
7: to remain in human memory or record
8: to have a life rich in experience
9: COHABIT
transitive verb
1: to pass through or spend the duration of
2: ACT OUT, PRACTICE —often used with out
3: to exhibit vigor, gusto, or enthusiasm in
4a: to experience firsthand
b: to be thoroughly absorbed by or involved with
— live it up
5: to live with gusto and usually fast and loose
6— live up to
7: to act or be in accordance with
— live with
8: to put up with : ACCEPT, TOLERATE

One of my favorite sayings is Live Love Laugh so I hope to live this year rich in experience, with gusto and enthusiasm and the be thoroughly involved with life. I want this to be a year of living the life I picture in my dreams!

Santa Flew the Coop

I found this birdcage at Michaels and fell in love. I used the Mitten Weather Chipboard Santa on the front and the chipboard Noel Tag and some red ribbon for the top. Fill with peppermint candies and it makes a perfect teacher gift.

More Mitten Weather cards!

Well this is the last post of Mitten Weather cards. I loved using this line and still have a few other projects to share in a few days.

For the first card I used a felt coaster I bought at Michaels last year. I think it adds a great accent.

For the second card I used my paper piercer to add interest to my scallop border.

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a great day!
